Xbox Chief Strategy Officer Matthew Ball has denied reports that Microsoft won exclusive cloud streaming rights for GTA 6. He confirmed the GTA 6 release on Xbox for November 19, though the game will not stream to PC.
Still, investors remain cautious. Shares of Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive (TTWO), are down 21.4% this year, while Polymarket traders price only a 4% chance of another delay.
The Xbox Cloud Streaming Rumors
The Verge first reported the claim, citing an internal Xbox all-hands meeting. The report said subscribers could stream the game on PCs, TVs, and phones from day one.
The same report described new caps on Game Pass cloud play. Ultimate members would reportedly get 15 hours of streaming per month.
Ball, who joined Xbox’s leadership team in May, pushed back on X.
In other words, the game still launches only on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. PC players, therefore, will have to wait for a later port. That makes the GTA 6 release a standard console launch without any cloud twist.
Polymarket Traders Trust the GTA 6 Release Date
On Polymarket, one contract asks whether Rockstar Games will postpone the title again. The “Yes” side trades at just 4 cents, with roughly $836,000 in volume.
Historically, the studio has slipped twice, after first targeting 2025. However, Rockstar kept its GTA 6 release plans intact after a week of leaks in August.
Wall Street looks less relaxed. TTWO trades near $202, roughly 21.7% below its level a year ago. The chart shows two sharp drops, one in early February and another in late August, when shares slid from about $233.
Meanwhile, bets like this one feed a sector that just logged record quarterly prediction volume. Until the GTA 6 release on November 19, both traders and shareholders will keep reacting to every rumor about the launch.
