Recent infrastructure news may be reinforcing the renewed interest. On September 22, Mastercard-owned BVNK integrated the Stellar network into its stablecoin payments platform. The move gives enterprise clients single-API access to Stellar’s fast, low-cost rails.
Those rails now cover more than 130 markets worldwide. They support cross-border payments, payouts, remittances, and treasury transfers for large institutions. Days later, Spectra Finance launched fixed-term markets for a tokenized Janus Henderson treasury product on Stellar.
That deployment lets users trade principal and yield tokens separately. It expands fixed-income options for real-world assets on the network. Together, these developments build on Stellar’s long-standing focus on payments and tokenization.
The network has increasingly positioned itself as infrastructure for institutions rather than just retail trading. Brandt framed XLM as speculative rather than a sure thing. Outcomes still depend on continued adoption and broader market conditions.
