Network activity on Uniswap is climbing sharply as UNI’s price rises. According to Santiment, daily active addresses on the network reached 14,591, the highest level in a year.
The network also added 13,137 new UNI addresses, which happens to be its biggest growth spike since September 2020.
Network Is Heating Up
The increase comes after several ecosystem upgrades, including Aggregator Hooks and VolatilePair Hooks.
VolatilePair Hook was launched on October 14, debuting with the ETH/USDC pool on Ethereum mainnet. Designed for Uniswap v4, it replaces static swap fees with market-responsive dynamic fees. By recalculating separate buy and sell fees on every swap based on recent price movements, the hook aims to reduce liquidity providers’ exposure to arbitrage losses during periods of market volatility.
A week later, Uniswap v4 Aggregator Hooks rolled out. These hooks wrap external liquidity sources, including Curve, Fluid, and PancakeSwap, thereby making them accessible to routers as v4 pools. Routers can compare quotes across Uniswap and external platforms, optimize trade routes, and settle swaps in a single transaction. Trades routed through these external sources incur protocol fees that contribute to UNI token burn.
Unichain is also set to receive its OP Enterprise upgrade on October 29. UNI is trading near $7.1 as market momentum begins to improve.
Santiment has identified $7 as a major support area and $7.5 as the next level to watch. Holding the $7 level and maintaining high network activity may keep UNI on track toward $8. However, if the price falls below this mark and user activity fades, the recovery may lose momentum.
Uniswap has generated over $6 billion in cumulative protocol fees, according to DefiLlama data. The decentralized exchange brought in nearly $89 million over the past 30 days alone. BSCN reported that Uniswap’s fee generation also puts it ahead of platforms like Hyperliquid, Aave, and Morpho, based on the figures shared.
Potential Move Toward $12?
Crypto analyst Defi Rocketeer said that UNI is becoming worth watching again near its current level and believes that the token could retest the $10-$12 range if the broader crypto market stabilizes.
A clean break above that zone could put $19-$20 in focus as the next major resistance area.
